Introduction :

Uttaranchal is the 26th state of Indian Union. Its also known as
Uttarkhand. the region has its own distinct languages and cultures, and
successive deep river valleys shelter fascinating, microcivilazations
where Hinduism meets animism and the Buddhist influence is never too far
away. The state is rich in flora and fauna, natural and touristic
ambience, and houses some of the most important pilgrimage centers in
the country., a virtual journey to the 27th state of india which is also
called a land of Gods and Goddess. Uttaranchal is a state of natural
beauty and some of the untouched and unspoilt natural places such
nainita, valley of flowers, dehradun, himalaya, kausani etc.Also famous
for it's lakes, mountains, forests, national parks, santuries and is
also a favourate destinatioan of wildlife lovers.Uttaranchal is also a
major destination for adventure sports lovers. Many national and
international competitions of Sking, Water rafting, Mountaineering, Rock
climbing etc. are held every year. Many adventure sports places are

How to get there :
|
Air: There are regular flights to Delhi by Indian Airlines. one has the
option to travel to Delhi by road or rail and then take the air route to various
destinations.
Rail: Dehradun, Haridwar, and Kathgodam are the major railway
stations connected to almost all parts of the country with regular trains
Road: Almost all the important places in the state are
connected by all-weather metalled roads. Many places in the higher altitudes may
still remain off for a period in the year due to landslides and snowfall.
National Highways such as 58, 73, 74, and 87 connect places in the state to
other parts of the country. |
