Pushkar's main bazaar is a tangle of narrow lanes lined with an assortment of interesting little shops - ideal for picking up gifts. It is especially good for costume jewellery and embroidered fabrics such as wall hangings and groovy shoulder bags. The music shops, on the other hand, are well worth a visit if you are keen to pick up some traditional, contemporary or fusion music. There are a number of bookshops in the main bazaar selling a tremendous range of novels in various languages.
